Dato Sri Yaw Chee Ming graduated from the University of Southern California with a Master of Business Administration.

He served as Chief Executive Officer of Samling from 1988 to 2017, a tenure spanning nearly three decades, before transitioning to the role of Non-Executive Chairman of the Group.

Under his leadership, the Group diversified and consolidated its presence across multiple sectors, including oil palm, property development, infrastructure and more recently, carbon credit development and the supply of certified wood pellets to support renewable bioenergy.
